New Compact DSO for Education and Entry-Level Applications

Model 2530B, 25 MHz Bandwidth Delivers Performance at a Value Price Point

YORBA LINDA, CA, January 6, 2011 -- B&K Precision replaces their model 2530 digital storage oscilloscope (DSO) with the new compact model 2530B. Priced as an entry-level DSO, the 2530B offers many features expected in higher-end models. With a respectable bandwidth of 25 MHz, a 500 MSa/s sampling rate, and two input channels, this DSO is designed and priced to suit educational use, but also satisfies basic industry applications.

The 2530B features a bright 5.7” color display, advanced triggering capabilities, mask testing, digital filtering, remote PC connectivity, waveform recorder, a context-sensitive help feature, multi-language interface, and 32 automatic measurements, in a lightweight and portable package.

With its large internal storage, 2530B users can save and recall up to 20 different oscilloscope setups and 10 different waveforms from internal memory. Five available math operations–addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and FFT–offer additional analysis tools.

The USB device port on the front panel allows quick saving of setup and waveform data, screenshots, or CSV files to a USB flash drive. Additionally, the 2530B's long waveform memory of up to 32,000 points provides the user with longer capture times and more detail on signals versus other entry-level oscilloscopes. Educators can request a code to disable the AutoSet button to help teach students how to set up the scope manually.

Available immediately, Model 2530B offers great value, performance and features at an affordable list price of $449.
