RS-485 BK Precision Products

The RS-485 interface can only be used directly from the computer to communicate with other products with the 1696 Power Supply Series. Each unit can be assigned a unique address and be controlled remotely using that address. 

The rest of our products use RS-485 only for device communication, meaning that this interface will be used to establish communication between two power supplies, for example, where one of them will be set as slave and the other one as a Master. In this case, to control them from a computer, PLC, etc. the communication interface selected will be RS-232 to control the master and the communication between units will done through RS-485. Please review the corresponding section for each product (i.e. Master/Slave Configuration 9115 series, etc).
