How to test a SCR using 815 component tester
If you have a B&K Precision model 815 and you want to test SCR, this article will help clarify the pin configurations for your testing. Refer to this image:
1. Set the meter to SCR mode. This is indicated by the SCR icon highlighted in a red square in the above image. 2. The red circled letters are described as:
K - Cathode
A - Anode
G - Gate
3. Insert or wire to your SCR to the appropriate pins for correct measurement.
Note: There are 2 "K" pins, but both are the same and you can use either of them.
