B&K Precision Launches ATE-Ready 10 kW & 18 kW DC Power Supplies

Featuring a compact 3U form factor, multi-range operation and output capabilities up to 1950 V or 360 A.

B&K Precision’s new HMR Series System DC Power Supplies provide up to 18 kW of reliable power for ATE applications requiring a wide range of voltage and current. Unlike conventional fixed-range power supplies, the HMR Series features multi-range (autoranging) operation and can deliver maximum power at multiple voltage / current combinations. 

The HMR Series includes many system-ready features that allow for easy integration into any ATE system. All models feature a compact 3U design to save rack space, fast command response times and low noise characteristics. The wide AC input range (200 to 415 VAC) simplifies installation worldwide. For higher power requirements, master/slave operation can be used to connect up to 100 units with the same rating in parallel. Comprehensive protection features for the power supply and DUT include overvoltage (OVP), overcurrent, (OCP), overpower (OPP), overtemperature (OTP) protection, and key-lock function. The series supports USB and LXI compliant LAN interfaces for remote PC control and programming. Optional, user-installable GPIB and analog interface modules are also available. PC software is provided for test sequence generation and data logging without the need to write source code. The built-in web server enables remote instrument control from a web browser. 

Additionally, this series incorporates SiC MOSFETs, which deliver lower on-resistance, reduced switching losses, and superior thermal performance compared to traditional silicon (Si) FETs. This advanced design results in higher overall performance, improved efficiency, and increased reliability.

Available now, the HMR Series starts at $13,550 and is backed by a 3-year standard warranty.
