Rackmount High-Speed Data Acquisition System 

B&K Precision, a leading designer and manufacturer of reliable, cost-effective test and measurement instruments, announced the launch of the DAS1800-R, a dedicated rackmount version of the DAS1800 Modular High-Speed Data Acquisition System. Designed for seamless integration into ATE applications, the DAS1800-R retains all the powerful hardware and software capabilities of the original DAS1800 while offering a specialized 19-inch rack-mountable chassis.

The DAS1800-R is engineered for high-channel environments, featuring 10 module slots that support the same plug-and-play module ecosystem as the DAS1800. This modularity allows for scalability, supporting up to 80 analog channels and 16 digital inputs. To facilitate easy integration, the system utilizes a chassis with rear-facing module slots and communication interfaces, keeping cabling organized within the rack. 

A key advantage of the DAS1800-R is its focus on data security and workflow efficiency. It features a removable 1 TB solid-state drive (SSD) accessible from the front panel and secured with a lock and key. This allows for easy removal of sensitive information, satisfying data sanitization protocols in aerospace and defense sectors. 

The DAS1800-R measures voltage, current, resistance, and temperature via thermocouples or RTDs. Depending on the modules, it’s capable of achieving sampling rates up to 1 MSa/s per channel for up to 40 channels and measuring signals up to ±1500 VDC or 1000 Vrms with CAT III 1500 V and CAT IV 1000 V safety ratings. 

The 15.6-inch Full HD touchscreen provides ample viewing space for real-time visualization of waveforms, numeric values, and harmonic histograms up to the 50th order. For power applications, the system includes a dedicated power analysis function for DC, single-phase, and 3-phase systems operating in 50 Hz, 60 Hz, and 400 Hz.
