B&K Precision, a leading designer and manufacturer of reliable, cost-effective test and measurement instruments, announced the launch of the 4088 Series RF Signal/Waveform Generators. Designed to maximize bench space and cut equipment costs, the 4088 Series combines a fully featured RF signal generator and a high-resolution arbitrary waveform / function generator into a single compact 2U benchtop package with simultaneous dual-channel output.

The dedicated RF channel covers frequency ranges up to 3 GHz (1.5 GHz on Model 4088) with low phase noise (<-117 dBc/Hz at 1 GHz, 10 kHz offset), high level accuracy (± 1 dB), and reverse power protection up to 30 V DC or +25 dBm RF power. Supporting AM, FM, PM, and pulse modulation as well as linear and logarithmic sweeps, it works in tandem with an integrated AWG/Function generator channel that delivers 16-bit vertical resolution, 250 MSa/s sampling rate, 4 Mpts memory depth, and waveforms up to 80 MHz with low jitter (25 ps).

Streamline operation through a 4.3-inch color display, front-panel controls, and a built-in waveform editor. Users can design custom signals using included PC software, upload custom files via USB host or LAN, and manage system parameters via SCPI commands or LabVIEW drivers. Standard features like programmable marker outputs, 10 MHz reference I/O, NISPOM-compliant sanitization, and optional GPIB support make the 4088 Series ideal for R&D, design verification, manufacturing, and education.
