Le RK2US est destiné au montage en rack de certains modèles 2U, soit en configuration côte à côte, soit en configuration monobloc, où l'espace vide est comblé par un support fourni. La conception en forme d'étagère offre un support supplémentaire et simplifie le montage des instruments. Les côtés sont façonnés pour optimiser la circulation de l'air pour les instruments dotés de ventilateurs de refroidissement latéraux. Le matériel de montage de l'extrémité avant est inclus.
