UVL and UCL errors

2019-12-23

On the 9103, 9104, 1685B Series, and 1900B Series power supplies there can be an issue where the UVL and UCL limits can get misconfigured. For reference UVL and UCL stand for Upper Voltage Level and Upper Current Level, respectively.

There is no way to adjust these limits from the front panel of the power supplies and the only way to modify them is through the PSCS software that is available here: https://bkpmedia.s3.amazonaws.com/downloads/software/pscs_software.zip

  1. Open the software PSCS
  2. Establish communication with the power supply (there are more detailed instructions to establish communication in the power supplies manual)
  3. Once communication has been established, go to the Setting Tab (see image below).
  4. Use the Voltage Upper Limit (UVL) Setting and Current Upper Limit (UCL) Setting sliding bars to adjust the limits to accepted values.
  5. Click OK
  6. Power cycle the power supply.
  7. Check operation of voltage and current levels.
