Thank you for using THERMOCAM, an application provided by SEFRAM Instruments SAS.
This Privacy Policy explains how SEFRAM Instruments SAS ("SEFRAM Instruments", "we", "our") collects, uses, stores, protects and discloses information when you use our THERMOCAM mobile application and associated services.

I. Description of Permissions
Certain features and/or services of THERMOCAM may require certain permissions to be enabled on your mobile device.

If you do not use certain features, you may refuse or disable the corresponding permissions. Disabling certain permissions may prevent some features from working properly, without affecting general use of the application unless the permission is essential to the requested feature.
II. How We Collect Personal Information
Depending on the features used, THERMOCAM may collect or process the following categories of information:
1. Thermal images and measurement data
The application may collect, display, process and store data generated by a compatible thermal camera, including:
- thermal images;
- thermal videos, if the feature is available;
- temperature measurement data;
- measurement points, areas or annotations;
- date and time of capture;
- device-related measurement settings;
- user-generated reports.
This information is necessary to provide the core features of the application, including real-time preview, thermal image capture, offline analysis, report generation and data export.
2. Camera access permission
Based on your explicit permission, the application may request access to your mobile device's camera. This permission may be used to:
- scan a QR code or device label;
- add or identify a compatible thermal device;
- associate visible images with thermal data, if this feature is available.
You may refuse or withdraw this permission at any time.
3. Microphone / recording permission
If the application offers a voice annotation or audio recording feature, we may request access to the microphone. This feature may allow you to add voice notes to thermal images, thermal videos or inspection reports. Audio information is collected only when you are actively using this feature and have granted the corresponding permission.
4. Photo, video and storage permissions
The application may request access to device storage, photo library or files in order to:
- save thermal images;
- save thermal videos;
- save generated reports;
- import files;
- export files;
- share data selected by the user;
- download or update application-related files.
Thermal images, videos and reports generated by the application are generally stored locally on your mobile device, unless you choose to export, share or transfer them. We do not transmit your locally stored files to third parties without your consent.
5. Location data
Our application may access your device's location data when you use this feature. Depending on the permissions granted, this data may include:
- your approximate location;
- your precise location.
This data is used to display your position on a map, record the location of a measurement, or provide other location-related features.
- Location access occurs only while the application is in use.
- Location data is processed on-device only.
- It is retained within the thermographic image data.
- It is not sold and is not shared with third parties.
You may refuse or withdraw location access permission at any time from your Android device settings. Refusing this permission may prevent this feature from functioning.
6. Wi-Fi and local network information
When connecting to a compatible thermal camera, the application may access Wi-Fi or local network information, such as:
- whether Wi-Fi is enabled;
- the name of the connected Wi-Fi network;
- the local network connection status;
- information required to detect or communicate with the thermal camera.
This information is used only to identify and connect to compatible SEFRAM or supported thermal imaging devices.
7. Bluetooth information
If the application supports Bluetooth connection, it may request Bluetooth permission to:
- detect compatible devices;
- connect to a thermal camera;
- exchange thermal images, videos or measurement data between the camera and the mobile device.
8. IP address and technical information
For security, compatibility, support and service improvement purposes, we may process technical information such as:
- IP address;
- device model;
- operating system version;
- application version;
- language settings;
- crash logs or diagnostic data;
- connection status between the application and the thermal camera.
This information helps us maintain the stability, security and performance of the application.
III. How We Use Your Personal Information
We use the information described above for the following purposes:
- to connect the application to a compatible thermal camera;
- to provide real-time thermal image preview;
- to capture, display, process and store thermal images and thermal videos;
- to allow offline analysis of thermal images;
- to generate, save and export inspection reports;
- to allow users to add annotations, including text, voice or measurement annotations, if available;
- to allow transfer of thermal images, videos or reports through local storage, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, FTP or other export functions selected by the user;
- to ensure the security and stable operation of the application;
- to diagnose bugs, crashes or compatibility issues;
- to respond to support requests submitted by users;
- to comply with legal and regulatory obligations.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
We do not use thermal images, thermal videos, measurement data or location information for targeted advertising.
IV. How We Protect Your Personal Information
We attach great importance to the security of your personal information.
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect your information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, loss or destruction.
Thermal images, videos and reports generated by the application are generally stored in the corresponding location on your mobile device. You are responsible for protecting access to your mobile device and for managing any files that you export or share.
Please note that no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure. Although we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
V. Sharing and Disclosure of Personal Information
We do not sell your personal information.
We may share or disclose personal information only in the following cases:
- with your prior consent;
- when necessary to provide the functions or services requested by you;
- with technical service providers acting on our behalf, such as hosting, maintenance, crash analysis or customer support providers;
- where required by applicable laws, regulations, legal proceedings or competent authorities;
- where necessary to protect the rights, property or safety of SEFRAM Instruments, users or third parties;
- in connection with a merger, acquisition, restructuring or transfer of business, subject to applicable legal requirements.

VI. Storage and Retention of Information
Thermal images, videos, reports and related measurement data are generally stored locally on your mobile device.
You may delete these files directly from the application, from the storage location of your device, or through the file management features provided by your operating system.
Information submitted to SEFRAM Instruments for support purposes may be retained for the time necessary to process your request and comply with legal obligations.
Technical logs or diagnostic data, if collected, are retained only for the period necessary for security, maintenance and application improvement purposes.
Unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law, we retain personal information only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.
VII. International Transfers
SEFRAM Instruments is based in France.
If personal information is transferred outside the European Economic Area, we will ensure that such transfer is carried out in accordance with applicable data protection laws, including the GDPR where applicable.

IX. Special Notes Regarding Thermal Images
Thermal images and temperature measurements may, depending on the circumstances, relate to identifiable individuals, private locations, professional environments or sensitive operational data.
The user is responsible for ensuring that any capture, recording, storage, export or sharing of thermal images complies with applicable laws and regulations.
You should not capture, store or share thermal images of individuals or private areas without appropriate information, authorization or legal basis.
X. Circumstances Where Consent May Not Be Required
In accordance with applicable laws and regulations, we may collect or use certain information without additional consent in the following cases:
- where necessary to comply with legal obligations;
- where directly related to public safety, public health or major public interests;
- where necessary for the protection of life, property or other major legitimate interests, and where obtaining consent is impracticable;
- where the information has been lawfully disclosed by the user or from public sources;
- where necessary for signing or performing a contract with the user;
- where necessary to maintain the safe and stable operation of the application, including detecting and handling faults or security incidents;
- in other circumstances permitted by law.
XI. Children's Privacy
The application is not specifically intended for children.
If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child without appropriate authorization, we will take reasonable steps to delete such information as soon as possible.
